Platypus is an app that gives you everything you need to get where you're going.
ok maybe it's a little more than you actually need...
designed to be a one-stop-shop for data about your ride, Platypus features:
accurate vehicle arrival time predictions
Know when your ride home is actually going to show up.
full schedules in a readable format
Paper schedules go un-updated, PDFs can be difficult or impossible to obtain, and agency websites are hard to navigate.
Have easy access to a schedule for every departure.
visual representation of routes on the map
Complicated, winding routes can be hard to understand. View an isolated line on the map of the route and it's stops.
detailed vehicle data
Know exactly what you're about to ride, how packed or delayed it is, and where it is at all times.
saved location waypoints
Keep track of important places without needing to remember addresses.
detailed trip guidance
Get to your destination with ease with step-by-step navigation and detailed instructions.
...and much much more!

Transit agencies with data accessible out of the box are: MTA Maryland, WMATA, MBTA.
Platypus processes GTFS datasets locally on-device, which has the disadvantage of requiring some time to sort the data into a local database, and additionally being more resource intensive. The most significant advantage of this is Platypus does not rely on an external server other than the agencies serving the data it uses, which ensures it remains usable years into the future, with the exception of the routing for trip planning and guidance which relies on an external OpenTripPlanner instance.
